Social Computing and Media IS20110 - Week 2

In week 2 of IS20110, we attended our first lab which was a tutorial that demonstrated how to use the software called MIT App Inventor. This is the software that many groups in the class will be using for their own app projects.

In this tutorial, we began work on a practice app known as 'Hello Purr: tap the kitty, hear him meow'.

Below are some screen shots of my work around building the app in both the 'Designer' and 'Block' sections of the software.

The completed app shows an image of a cat with an instruction to the user titled 'Pet the Kitty!' When the user touches the screen, the users phone should vibrate and produce a meowing sound.
